Parents and families are a vital part of Serendipity and are considered partners with the teachers in their child’s educational journey. We welcome parents to visit the program, volunteer in the classroom, stop by for lunch, go on field trips or be involved in any way they choose. We have found that children enjoy having their families take part in activities in their classroom and at their school.
Parent/Teacher Conferences are held twice a year in the fall and spring. These conferences offer an opportunity to discuss your child’s developmental milestones throughout the year. Families can request to meet with their child’s teacher at anytime during the school year if the need arises.
We like to maintain daily contact with the parents at drop-off and pick-up times.
Parents are encouraged to help out a couple of times a year with school “chores”. We also have two positions on our Board of Directors that are filled by parents.
