Serendipity Day School is comprised of five classrooms with children aged 18 months to five. Each classroom is designed to offer a developmentally appropriate curriculum. Children are viewed as individuals with unique personalities and needs. We encourage children to develop at their own pace in a way that is meaningful to them. Serendipity places the emphasis on hands on learning, socialization, and play. Each classroom explores a variety of topics and incorporates different areas of curriculum based on developmentally appropriate materials and the interests of the children. Classrooms engage in rhythm and movement, art, dramatic play, food projects, gardening, and group activities. Some classrooms also participate in community outreach activities and field trips. Serendipity’s Pre-K classrooms include academic curriculum like letter recognition, writing, counting, simple addition and subtraction, vocabulary development, and environmental awareness, which are all implemented in order to prepare children for kindergarten.
We have now added daily Spanish curriculum to our program!
